Jibrib Bell, the American who has become a beloved figure in Serbia, continues to inspire with his kind heart and selfless acts. Recently, he touched the hearts of many once again when he took time to surprise an elderly flower seller, Grandma Anka, on the streets of Belgrade.
A Simple Act of Kindness
While walking through Knez Mihailova, Jibri noticed Grandma Anka selling flowers from morning until late in the evening. Wanting to brighten her day, he approached her with a smile. After a brief conversation, he asked her how much it would cost to buy all the flowers she had.
Surprised, Anka quickly calculated and told him the price—1,800 dinars. Jibri then pulled out a generous amount of money, counted it out loud, and handed her 10.000 dinars, far more than the price she had quoted.
Spreading Joy in the Streets
Overwhelmed, Grandma Anka thanked Jibri with a big smile, a kiss, and a warm hug. "We are poor, we don’t have money, but the soul is what matters," she said, to which Jibri responded, "But you have a big heart."
After their heartfelt exchange, Jibri continued to share the joy by giving out the flowers he purchased to passersby, spreading smiles and positivity along the way.
This touching moment, captured on video, only further solidifies Jibrib’s place as a true inspiration and role model to the people of Serbia, especially the younger generation.
